                                                  JOIN THURROCK CVS

Thurrock CVS supports new and established voluntary and community organisations that are based or supply services in Thurrock.

 We aim to promote and develop the effectiveness of the voluntary and community sector through empowerment. Thurrock CVS will bring like minded members together to increase their voice through collective representation and where required act as a gateway to Public Bodies.

Joining Thurrock CVS brings the benefit of being part of the organisation tasked with giving the Voluntary & Community sector in Thurrock a significant voice in the development of policies that impact on Thurrock. Other advantages include discounted room hire at the Beehive Resource Centre, access to standard policy templates and updates on new funding opportunities.

  • Members can take advantage of ;
  • Subsidised photocopying, use of equipment such as franking machine, laminator & display boards.
  • Regular information to keep members abreast of developments that affect the sector.

  • If your group/organisation does not have a governing body or document in place, you can still join Thurrock CVS as an Associate Member. You will receive all the information and support offered to General Members but would not have voting rights.

    Membership Rates

       Membership fees are based on the annual income of individual groups and organisations as follows:-  

     Unfunded                                                                 Free *

    Annual income under £50,000                                  £10-00

    Annual income          £50,000 - £100,000                £15-00

    Annual income          £100,000 - £150,000              £20-00

    Annual income          £150,000 - £200,000              £25-00

    Annual income          £200,000 - £250,000              £30-00

    Annual income          £250,000                                £35-00

     

    * If your group / organisation does not currently receive funding you will need to complete a waiver

     

     

        Please note that groups / organisations applying for full membership are  

     required to have:-

    ·        A governing body, e.g. management committee, board or steering group.

    ·        A written constitution or rules.

    ·        A equal opportunities policy.
